Disney’s D23 Convention has a reputation for surprising fans of all the various franchises under Disney with new content. This time was not any different, with trailers, exclusive scenes, and reveals of over 14 new series and movies. The one which has caught our attention is the first official teaser of Secret Invasion.
With this Disney+ miniseries, Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones fame will be making her MCU debut. She is seen donning short, and messy brown hair. Clarke’s action scenes feature her in a black leather jacket, with kohl-lidded eyes, and we can’t wait to see more of her in this character. Several well-known and loved characters return to the Marvel scene with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), James Rhodes (Don Cheadle), and more.

What We Know So Far
Secret Invasion seems to be a pretty action-heavy series judging by the trailer. Nick Fury has come back to Earth with an urgent mission, and he means business. Skrulls seem to have invaded the Earth, and Nick Fury has teamed up with General Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) to defeat them. The details of Emilia Clarke’s character aren’t known yet, but all her scenes in the trailer are packed with tension. A leaked clip of one of Emilia’s scenes shows her fighting against someone in a full CGI suit.

A few more videos from the sets show a worried Emilia in character glancing back. And a behind-the-scenes of the clip shows Maria Hill catching up to her and then breaking character and hugging her.

Everything about Emilia Clarke’s debut and Secret Invasion overall has been kept tightly under wraps, except for a few leaks as they filmed among the public. Is Clarke’s character a S.H.I.E.L.D agent? Or is she a Skrull fighting to survive on Earth? Looks like we’ll only know after Secret Invasion releases in 2023.
