HBO is one of the leading networks in the world of television. The network has already given us some of the finest shows of all time in the form of Game of Thrones and Chernobyl. After House of The Dragon, the TV network has set its eyes upon the live-action adaptation of the video game The Last of Us. It is one of the most ambitious shows being filmed currently by the streaming giant, whose budget even exceeds that of the Emmy-winning juggernaut Game of Thrones. And fans are getting really excited about the series, as the new teaser trailer shows the leads Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) in action.

The teaser shows Joel and Ellie navigating a snowy bridge, investigating a dangerous looking fungus, and trying to survive the post-apocalyptic world.
“Everybody I’ve cared for has either died or left me,” Ellie says in the clip.
“You have no idea what loss is,” Joel replies to her comment.
Based on the super-popular video game of the same name, the show follows a man named Joel, played by Game of Thrones alum Pedro Pascal, who’s forced to bring a young girl named Ellie, portrayed by Pedro’s Thrones co-star Bella Ramsey, across a zombie-infested United States because she might be the key to a cure.
The HBO adaptation is eyeing for a release date in 2023, with the series currently in post-production. Are you excited about The Last of Us? Talk to us in the comments below!
