Milly Alcock about her role In House of the Dragon
Alcock made her House of the Dragon red carpet premiere in Los Angeles back in July. But it wasn’t until recently that she realized just how big of a deal the show actually is. Walking down the red carpet, she felt like a veteran next to all of the other first-timers. Now, she’s eagerly awaiting the show’s release so that she can see all of her hard work come to fruition.
During an interview with IndieWire, Alcock echoed that –
House of the Dragon really creates a nuanced conversation of misogyny. We don’t only explore it through a level of women being shut down and the patriarchy but also go in-depth about the internalized misogyny women constantly face and the competitiveness. Alicent and Rhaenyra’s relationship is at the forefront of that conversation.
With that being said, Milly Alcock’s performance in House of the Dragon is one that audiences are looking forward to seeing. George R.R. Martin’s story is one that is full of detail and depth, and viewers can’t wait to see how it unfolds on-screen. The first episode of House of the Dragon will be released on Sunday, August 21 – so be sure to mark the date in your calendar.
